Intercity İstanbul Park

In 2020, as one of the first stages in the formation of a conglomerate, the group company Intercity Istanbul Park (İstanbul Park Eğitim ve Öğretim Kurumları A.Ş / Istanbul Park Education and Teaching Institutions Inc.) was established and officially started operating.

After the ground-breaking ceremony for Istanbul Park had taken place on 23rd September 2003, in 2005 the circuit hosted its first Formula 1 race, much to the joy of spectators. In 2012, Intercity acquired the rights to run the complex, and through the various improvements and investments it carried out, Istanbul Park was transformed into the country’s most comprehensive centre for the automotive sector, motorsports and road safety. The name “Intercity Istanbul Park” is known throughout the world, and the circuit has played host to various racing series, including the premium motorsports contest, the Formula 1 World Championship, as well as the RWS Renault World Series, MotoGP, SBK World Superbike Championship, FIA World Rallycross Championship, the Ferrari Racing Days and the European Truck Racing Championship.

Istanbul Park has also been the venue for Europe’s biggest driving safety academy, V Weekend Sports, for festivals such as “V Weekend Motoring”, national and international launches, press events and test drives.

On the 13th, 14th and 15th November 2020, Intercity Istanbul Park hosted the “Formula 1 DHL Turkish Grand Prix 2020”, the first time in nine years that it was the venue for a Formula 1 event.
